Play Therapy is an evidence-based therapy used with children ages 3-12. Play is our first language. Just as adults use words to communicate, children use play. When playing we express thoughts and feelings that would otherwise remain hidden. Our clients benefit from fully equipped play therapy rooms with all of the resources children need to safely identify and work through any issues. The therapist will observe patterns and themes in the child’s play that may indicate underlying issues, and will work with the child to help them process thoughts and feelings using specific play therapy techniques.
“For children, toys are their words and play is their language.” Gary Landreth, 2002
