EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy that has been shown to significantly reduce symptoms of trauma and anxiety. The therapist works to help clients identify negative or traumatic experiences, as well as troubling thoughts and feelings, and engages the brain’s natural healing process to quickly improve many emotional issues and often times completely eliminate symptoms that have been distressing the client. EMDR is an 8 phase therapy that often brings about results in a shorter amount of time than traditional talk therapy.
