Amy McKaskle has 16 years of clinical experience working with individuals, couples, and adolescents. She specializes in the treatment of anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief. She is trained in EMDR Therapy and Sandtray Therapy, and uses them to help clients work through traumatic experiences and negative self beliefs. Amy’s training in specialized EMDR protocols allows her to also work with negative behavioral urges, substance abuse, and trauma from natural disasters. She is also trained in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Therapy which utilizes various mindfulness techniques to address symptoms of anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, and more. In addition, Amy utilizes her extensive experience in Myers Briggs style personality work to tailor goals and interventions to the individual client in order to build on the client’s existing strengths and empower them to live a higher quality of life. Also, Amy’s seminary background allows her to integrate Christian theological and spiritual insights into the clinical experience at the client’s request.
